Sylvania – Author, activist, and anarchist community organizer, Scott Crow is set to give a presentation titled Solidarity Not Charity: The Story of the Common Ground Relief Collective in New Orleans at Syvlania Campus on November 5.

Crow, who works at an anarchist-run recycling center in Texas, is a bit of a hero among those in the anarchist movement.

The New York Times profiled Crow last year, after he released F.B.I. surveillance documents obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests.

The documents showed hundred of hours of surveillance wasted watching Crow, his wife, and their friends.

According to Crow’s Publisher, PM Press, “[Crow] advocates the philosophy and practices of anarchism for social, environmental, and economic aims.”

The event is on November, 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar room.
