“Remembrance Rug” returns to SY
The “Remembrance Rug” will be making an encore appearance at Sylvania, just in time for Memorial Day.
The 200 foot-long folk art piece will be taking over the CC Upper Mall 25 – 27 May. The Remembrance Rug was created to commemorate veterans and service members dating back to WWII.
The artist, Marine Corps veteran Rodger Asai, will be on site and available to talk about the piece.
Please be sure to stop by to talk with Rodger and, if you haven’t already, check out the glass display cases in the CC Mall which are currently displaying uniforms and military memorabilia donated to the Veterans Resource Center by PCC students and staff. The display will be up through 27 May.
